Film, Television & Music Production Sectors

Our media law personnel have extensive experience in the film, television and music production sectors. The experience of our media law personnel includes advising television channels and film & television producers on the development, financing, production and international distribution of film and television projects, such as feature films, animation, documentary, reality television or drama productions.  As entertainment lawyers we can advise high profile talent (including actors and directors) on negotiating deals for their involvement in film & television projects. In the music sector, our media law personnel have experience in advising songwriters, composers, singers, bands, record labels and promoters of live performances on managing their activities to comply with the Copyright Law and to achieve their creative and commercial aims, including recording live performances of music, music publishing arrangements and the licensing of musical works and sound recordings for film & television productions and television advertising. We are one of a very limited number of law firms which has the experience to assisted clients in the film, television and music production sectors in Myanmar to manage copyright material, such as clients that need to interact with collective management organisations, which under the Copyright Law 2019 will have the authority to act on behalf of rights owners and to administer the rights by granting licences to users of copyright material, who engage in the reproduction, public exhibition or communication of copyright material to the public in Myanmar.
